I have been a part of Würth Industrie Service since September 2018. I started with a dual study programme in Business Informatics – today I am working as software developer in KMS (Kanban Management System) and am also working in the capacity of a trainer.
I realised early on that aside from development, passing on knowledge is also important to me. I guide the apprentices in various years of apprenticeship and help them in their entry into software development.
My main area of focus is further development and maintenance of our Kanban Management System. I work on master data, reporting and statistics systems, among others – that is, where clean data is the foundation of functioning processes.
My goal is to make the information from the system usable, reduce the risk of errors and to make the work as simple as possible for the users.
I work in a team that is happy to try out new things and test new technologies. We keep developing our system continuously, rethink things and decide together what works. I especially value the degree of freedom that we get to enjoy: I can design my own working day and implement my ideas directly in the system.
Even the collaboration with key users and departments is close, honest and solution-oriented.
One of the defining project was the implementation of a notification-based communication in the system – a fundamental change in business logic. From the initial idea through prototyping to full-scale implementation, this project was technically demanding but extremely educational.
I have also profited so much from my own training days: the freedom to try out new things and the opportunity to find solutions from it that are still in use today.
